Resource Consultants Landing Page Copy - Click Image to Enlarge

The Company

Threadgold Consulting are resource consultants. They use Oracle NetSuite to give their clients the tools to scale effectively.

The Problem

I was contacted via Cheshire Digital Marketing Agency to write sales copy for Threadgold's landing page. This landing page is being used in Singapore to get leads from ambitious business owners that are eager to scale up, fast.

The Process

I read through all the information I was given about the company and their target audience. From that, I got the sense that these business owners had tried scaling on their own. Maybe they were successful, maybe they weren't. They were, however, wasting a lot of time on using different systems. I wrote about the benefits of Netsuite including predicting the future, because go-getting entrepreneurs want everything, now!

The Result

I have been informed by Cheshire Digital Marketing Agency that the page is performing well. My copy must be hitting the spot!

Wedding Photography Website Copy - Click Images to Enlarge

The Company

Fern Photography is a team of photographers who have come together to offer a great service with extensive experience behind them. Their target audience is professional couples with a higher than average salary. Couples who want something a bit different but still want to get classic photography. They don't mind spending more if they know they are getting more for their money. They recognise the importance of hiring a great photographer and feel that the relationship should be a positive one.

The Problem

I reached out to Dan and Matt as I love their business and branding. During our first chat, I discovered that they weren't happy with their messaging but didn't know where to find a good copywriter. As I am also a bride-to-be and their client it was the perfect fit. I did a website audit and found that they had loads of great information, however, it was buried under quite a few clicks.

The Process

The majority of this useful information was tucked away in blog posts so I suggested bringing it out and rewriting it for an FAQ page. They loved this idea. The remaining blog posts became previous client posts (one of which was written by myself as I am also their client) and no information was lost, just repurposed.

For their landing page, I focussed on their benefits of being in the industry for a long time and being knowledgeable about the wedding industry as a result. The line "anything is possible" sums up their work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond for their couples.

Throughout the majority of their website, I did copy editing and cleaned up sentences to get their message across quickly and efficiently. I also added in their client testimonials as they are great and weren't used at all previously which was a missed opportunity.

I wrote their "about" section to be more about them as a team (as they are a team of four photographers) and I wrote more personal bio's to reflect their different styles and interests to connect the reader more to them as people.

The Result

Fern Photography's website now has useful information in easy to find places with clear calls to action. They also have their testimonials in pride of place to showcase their talents.

N.B. it was suggested that the French language should not be used as it could get lost in translation for non-French speaking readers.

Children’s Toy Company About Page Copy - Click Images to Enlarge

 The Company

Birdkids Ltd is an e-commerce company selling small, handmade and independent children's toys. They curate the best children's toys on the market and proper a fantastic service from browsing to receipt.

The Problem

Birdkids is owned and run by a lovely couple. They bought the company and as a result, they had a lot of inherited positives and negatives. One of the latter being an about page. They didn't have one and the old one was about the previous owners. Their website is fantastic and they did encounter a few customers assuming they had a massive team behind them because of this. This was not the case as it was just both of them doing all the things involved in running a successful business.

The Process

Through our creative brief the term, behind the scenes, was used. I latched on to this and drafted the copy around the two of them doing all the different activities in the business.

The Result

Their about page now offers customers an insight into how they operate in a fun and engaging way. They also now have an about section of their website which naturally gives more trust to the brand as a whole.

Product Descriptions.

The Company

Jigsaw Genie is a family fun online business in the UK. They offer a wide range of puzzles and make buying them a fun experience. Their website is clean and well organised. Their target audience is anyone who loves puzzles or wants to gift a puzzle to someone else. They offer great quality products and a high standard of service.

The Problem

Jigsaw Genie’s problem was that whilst there isn’t a huge amount of competition there certainly is some and they want to stand out from the crowd. They didn’t want generic descriptions; they wanted fun, engaging sentences to set their website apart.

The Process

I was given all the images of the puzzles and accessories and set to work. I looked at each image individually and thought about how the image would make me feel. I then wrote a couple of short sentences to summarise my thoughts. As a lover of puzzles myself, I thought about what words would make me want to buy them.

The Result

All their products have a unique little description which is used on their website and in their social media to drive traffic to their website and therefore increase sales.

Cheetos College Contest (fictional contest)

Objective was for college students to enter their details for further use by the company via a competition to win a supply of Cheetos. One of the benefits was not having to worry about snacking whilst studying. I therefore took this as my inspiration.
